  Landmark University’s quest to restore the dignity of the black race was again demonstrated in her collaboration with the Global Hope for Women and Children Foundation (GLOHWOC) to provide technical capacity building on agribusiness for women in Irepodun Local Government Area (LGA) of Kwara State on Tuesday, 28th July 2020. The capacity-building event which focused on plant, animal and livestock production and their value chains had 62 participants from the various villages across the LGA.

  As part of her interventionist roles in community development most especially towards mitigating the adverse effect of COVID-19 within the University campus and the Omu-Aran community at large, the Management of Landmark University ably led by the ViceChancellor, Professor Adeniyi Olayanju disbursed palliative packages to over 400 casual workers in the University, health centres and government agencies around Omu-Aran on 25th June 2020. The palliative packages comprised 1200 packs of 2 kilograms staple food items from her farms, several packets of face masks and 240 bottles (100ml) of hand sanitizers.

  Professor Olasunkanmi Bamiro has advocate production efficiency and integration as catalyst for successful agribusiness during his lecture titled “Roadmap to Canaan: Production Efficiency and Integration in Agribusiness.” The Professor of Production Economics, Olasunkanmi Bamiro, established that food security in Nigeria is attainable if the nation’s effort is geared towards increase in yield of all food crops through efficiency in agricultural production and adoption of vertical integration in all agribusiness enterprises.

- LMU HOLDS 5TH INAUGURAL LECTURE, CALLS FOR ADOPTION OF AUTOMATION IN DRIVING AGRICULTURAL DEVELOPMENT
  
  On the 26th April 2018, Professor Christian Osueke called for the adoption of automation as the major catalyst toward achieving agricultural growth and economy development. Osueke, a Professor of Mechanical Engineering in Landmark University, Omu-Aran, made the call while delivering the institution’s 5th Inaugural Lecture titled “Divine Secrets: The Booster of Innovative Design and Automation”. He said such adoption became necessary in order to reduce production cost and eliminate waste. According to him, the continuous application of muscular efforts in form of hand pressure leads to fatigue, loss of concentration and inaccurate production.

  Government and Stakeholders in the Agricultural sector have been urged to develop practicable policies that would enhance food sufficiency through crop production in order to avert looming hunger in the country. The Dean College of Postgraduate Studies, Professor Charity Aremu while delivering Landmark University’s 6th inaugural lecture on Thursday 18th March 2021 stated the need to urgently engage in crop production to address the incessant food crisis which, according to her, may deteriorate due to increase in the nation’s population. The 6th Inaugural Lecture series presented by Professor Charity Aremu, a crop improvement specialist was titled “Crisscrossing Crop and Environment: the Resounding Cymbals for Innovations and Food Sustainability.
