Landmark University Participates in the Global Environment Fertility (GEF7) Biodiversity Project

Landmark University Omu-Aran released a faculty Dr. Moji Olanike Kehinde who is a member of SDG 15 team to participate with a team that provided support service to FAO in support of the Federal Government of Nigeria. This involves a workshop of the proposed Global Environment Fertility (GEF7) Biodiversity project, and undertakes State, LGA and community level consultations. Studies also include; 

  1. Gender Inequalities, Biodiversity Conservation and Restoration of Degraded Forest among Forest Dependent Communities in Nigeria Protected Areas and the Associated Threats in Lowland Forests in Nigeria.

Community Engagement of the FAO Team, Edo State Forestry Commission, Ministry of Environment and Agric with the Iyase of Udo Kingdom (One of the Paramount Traditional Rulers in Okomu Landscape) and the Cross- section of the community @ the Iyase Palace – Udo, Edo State.

This is to get the consent from the paramount ruler to carry out further interaction with the farmers and other key stakeholder in the kingdom.
