THE JOURNEY SO FAR!

At the inception of the University in 2011, the Management instituted the Conference and Research Committee; headed by Professor E.M.A. Olatunji of the Department of Physical Sciences. The Committee was saddled with the three (3) fold responsibilities – Research, Conference, and Publication. This went on till the first quarter of 2016.

LUCRID as a Directorate comprises of the following Units in alignment with the University Research Agenda

    Three segments of the Conference and Research Committee reemerged as different Committees viz: The Publication Committee, the Research Committee and the Conference Committee

    The Inauguration

    The Research Committee was inaugurated by the then Vice-Chancellor, Professor Aize Obayan. Professor Ifeanyi Onyeonoru (the then Dean of the College of Business and Social Sciences) was appointed as the Chair. Of the Committee.
  4. March 2018 – August 2019

    Landmark University Research Advisory Board

    Transformation of the Research Committee into ‘Landmark University Research Advisory Board’ overseeing the activities of Research, Conference Attendance and Research Publications of the University. The period also witnessed the creation of the SCOPUS Unit under the Vice-Chancellor’s Office.

    Creation of LUCRID

    Creation of the Landmark University Centre for Research Innovation and Discoveries, in line with the University Academic Brief Document
  6. September 2020

    Re-designed Research Activities

    The University began running her Research Activities based on the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The period also witnessed the establishment of the International Exhibition Centre (IEC), located at one of the wings of the University Cafeteria.
